TOP REASONS WHY EXERCISE IS GOOD FOR YOU (PART 2)

While physical over-exertion can be a cause of chronic fatigue, however, in the twenty first (21st) century, this is very rare. By far the most common physical cause of fatigue in this country is under exertion.

Our bodies were designed to take food for energy, then metabolize it through strenuous physical effort, excrete the wastes, and rest appropriately. All this was designed to create a healthy body.

As man’s technological advancement increased, however, so has our ability to avoid exertion. Therefore, our physical bodies are often underused.

Last month, we enumerated the first five top reasons that make exercise good for you. Now let us continue with the next five.

6. YOU WILL ENJOY SLEEPING.

Lack of sleep leads to fatigue, depression, irritability, negativity and diminished mental performance.  Where does exercise come in? Lean body mass is positively related with sleep. People who are physically fit require less sleep than those who are non-fit. The healthier you are, the faster you recover. The delta sleep is the most important sleep phase for energy restoration, recovery and rejuvenation. The physically fit experience the healthiest sleep cycles and the highest levels of  delta sleep.

7. IT WILL BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM.

Help your microscopic warrior antibodies and boost your immunity through the wonders of exercise. Antibodies are at least 50% higher and can go as much as 300% higher for those who exercise.

8. PREVENTS ARTHRITIS AND OSTEOPOROSIS.

Exercise improves muscle mass and strength. Bones are strengthened in the process. Exercise increases muscle strength, joint mobility, circulation, flexibility, and weight loss. Joints are protected, nourished, detoxified and de-stressed.

Research has it that mortality is lower by 43% on average in people who exercise at least 30 minutes a day several times a week compared to those who are sedentary as a tree.
