Department of Tourism - Trabaho sa Turismo

The Department of Tourism (DOT) partnered with JobsDB.com, Asia’s no. 1 job portal, in providing an accessible venue for Cebu’s jobseekers. The Cebu leg of the 4th Trabaho sa Turismo job fair proved to be a success as more than 8,000 participants flocked to SM City Cebu. With more than 100 participating companies, the career fair sought to promote and provide employment opportunities to jobseekers in order to enhance their careers. Also, a fair playing field is provided with the use of the Career Card that enables the jobseeker’s resume to be sent online as part of the application process.

8,598 job vacancies are featured in the two-day event. 80 percent are for Cebu- based companies while 20 percent for jobs overseas. While most job vacancies are for tourism- related industries, other sectors such as Food, BPO, and Recruitment participated in the event.
