Marikina City recently partnered with JobsDB.com to make it easy for local residents to land jobs.

“A JobsDB.com database dedicated to Marikina citizens gives them a unique platform for advertising their knowledge and skills,” Mayor Marides Fernando said during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.

She encouraged Marikeños to take advantage of the opportunity to make themselves available to local and overseas employers by simply posting their résumés on the Website. At the same time, she stressed that the city government continuously provides training and development to its citizens to make them “more valuable and to remain competitive in the labor market at all times.”

In the bid to answer unemployment in the province, online job site JobsDB.com and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recently forged a partnership which aims to assist Cebu-based businesses with manpower solutions through co-branding.
JobsDB.com will manage the organization’s career website by providing the link to a summary of available positions in CCCI’s member-businesses.

To meet the growing demand for jobs for Filipinos, the Department of Tourism (DOT), in cooperation with industry player JobsDB Philippines, held the 4th Trabaho sa Turismo Job Fair last May 22 and 23 at the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia Complex. Along with over 15,000 jobseekers vying for over 20,000 job vacancies at the event, DOT Secretary Joseph Ace Durano was also present to encourage and support both the employers and the applicants.
